HELP GIVE THEM ACCESS TO THE CARE THEY NEED
We partner with remote and under-served communities by providing access to veterinary care right in their community. We also work with the community leaders to provide support and guidance for locally sustainable Community Animal Management Plans.
Community Animal Care Plans
The Canadian Animal Assistance Team (CAAT) give animals a chance at access to veterinary care and improved welfare in remote and under-served communities. CAAT is driven by the passion and dedication of our volunteers. Our mission encompasses providing access to temporary veterinary services through our MASH style hospital events, right in the community. We also provide guidance and resources to develop community driven, sustainable animal care plans.
Our members contribute in countless ways, from fundraising and serving on committees to raising awareness and donating their time and skills as part of our veterinary clinic teams. When planning a clinic, we notify our members, who can then apply to join the team for that specific project.
Join us in making a difference. Together, we can bring essential care to animals and support communities in creating a brighter future for their beloved pets. Your involvement and generosity make all the difference!
CANADIAN ANIMAL ASSISTANCE TEAM (CAAT)
CAAT was founded, in 2005, in response to the overwhelming need for veterinary care in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. In 2006 CAAT started to provide veterinary services to remote and under served communities. CAAT has continued to expand their program that now focuses on partnering with under served communities in to create Community Animal Care Plans that address the issues they are facing with dogs and cats. We have headquarters in Vancouver, BC and in Cambridge, Ontario, and our CAAT members live and work all across Canada.
